Editorial policy
Global Civic Journal aims to make civic subjects clear without smoothing away disagreement or uncertainty. Articles are written with care for context, plain language and the difference between explanation and opinion.
Accuracy and context
We check names, descriptions and factual claims against suitable material before publication, and make the scope of an explanation clear. Where a claim is uncertain, contested or specific to a place, we say so rather than presenting it as settled or universal.
Independence
Editorial choices are made for their relevance to the publication's subject and readers. Contributors and partners do not receive a promise of favourable coverage, and commercial relationships do not determine editorial conclusions.
Corrections
Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review specific, verifiable concerns and correct material when warranted; substantial changes are identified in the article so readers can understand what changed.
Partner material and illustrations
Paid or partner-supported material is clearly labelled so readers can distinguish it from editorial work. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; where relevant, they are identified as illustrations and are not presented as documentary evidence.
Civic life is made together.
It takes more than a formal decision: shared habits, open doors and attentive listening give public life its shape.
